Mindfulness Meditation

My 8-year stint in Apple's Silicon design team was a learning experience, to say the least. I was under immense pressure to design and verify complicated iProducts within tight deadlines, and had to cope with brutal performance reviews that were designed to inspire competition. To manage the stress, I resorted to using a meditation app during work hours, but soon realized that it was only a temporary fix. I knew I needed to make more permanent changes in my life, so I decided to take the plunge of leaving corporate life behind and become the CEO of my own life by making decisions that mattered.
In order to make this transition successful, I had to focus on creating healthy habits and routines that allowed me to stay focused and productive. Meditation helped me create the space I needed to reflect on what was important and how it could be achieved, while also giving me the confidence and clarity of mind necessary for sound decision making. In addition to this, I started to become more mindful of my time, activity choices and relationships. Instead of being fixated on devices with screens, I started to take long walks in nature, read books and cultivate meaningful relationships with family and friends. This lifestyle shift gave me the freedom to live a more fulfilling and balanced life.
